Abstract
Prosopometamorphopsia is a form of metamorphopsia in which the distortion of an image occurs only when the patient sees the face of a human being. Metamorphopsia can be manifested when the structural brain lesion occupies the visual pathway, or in cases of epilepsy or migraine. However, isolated prosopometamorphosia caused by a focal brain lesion has been rarely reported. Herein, we report a case of the infarction of splenium of corpus callosum presenting as hemiprosopometamorphosia.
